Psychometric Testing

Repeated independent studies have demonstrated that the appropriate use of psychometric testing adds significantly to the predictive validity of the selection process. Through our associate partner we are able to offer a range of psychometric tests.

For executive appointments assessment normally involves the use of both cognitive tests and personality measures. Tests and questionnaires currently in use include verbal, numerical and critical reasoning, 16PF, OPQ, Firo B, and Myers Briggs Type Indicator with candidates being matched against appropriate norm groups. All of the instruments used meet or exceed British Psychological Society recommendations on reliability.

Such instruments enable reports to be produced which relates candidates response to specific competencies as defined by the client. This can be a particularly useful aide memoir at the subsequent interview.

Costs can only be determined after consultation with clients but a fee of circa £600 per candidate is typical. Where more than one candidate can be tested at the same time substantial savings are possible.
