A vacancy has arisen for a Account Controller to have control over the Wholesale, Cash & Carry business channels in the Asian Sector. This sector makes up 30% of the business of which you will have full ownership. The ideal candidate should be Chinese speaking. This role comes with full P&L responsibility and the jobholder will have direct report responsibility. The role is working within the Asian market with a very strong personal focus on customer relationship as you will mainly be liaising with the owners of the business. Planning and networking also very important. You should have ideally had a background working with such accounts as Win Yip, Hoo Hing. You will have experience of working within the Wholesale/C&C Channel and be ready to make the step up to control of this Sector. You will be accountable for the following: • To deliver the agreed profit and volume targets for your account portfolio. • To ensure availability of lines to maximise volume on a period by period basis. • To secure listings of all appropriate products for the account. • To provide timely forecasts to Sales Director. • To be proactive in identifying, developing and winning profitable new business. • To ensure promotional activity is activated to the highest level and to meet display targets. • Have an effective & prioritised customer contact plan in place, with suitable objectives being set for each customer to ensure business development and growth. • To develop individual account plans in conjunction with the customer goals • Maintain regular & relevant contact with external agencies / internal depts. to ensure smooth management of customer accounts • To ensure all customer performance is reviewed with the account on a regular basis and action plans constructed to close gaps and maximize on opportunities. • Ability to communicate clearly • Good planning and organisational skills • Proven ability to achieve results in a sales environment • Ability to Influence both internally and externally • Ability to Negotiate • Good interpersonal credibility with the customer and be able to handle objections. • Ability to analyse and creatively solve problems. Of Graduate Calibre, you will have an established key skill set including: selling, negotiating, account management, planning, networking, as well as relationship building this is essential as you will mainly be liaising at very senior levels.
